Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or any signs of illness will not be permitted in the show hall. Mention you are with the Bayou State Cat Club to get the special rate. Thereis no pet deposit but each guest must sign a waiver stating they are personally responsible for any damage to the room. will be no shuttle from motel to show hall. There is a shuttle from airport to motel. We request that all whole males be confined and that all rooms are left clean and free from all "cat dirt".
Shuttle Services: The La Quinta Inn does provide a shuttle to and from the airport. They are working on a possible shuttle to the show hall; however, individuals may be responsible for their own transportation. The club will try to arrange for car pools.
Show Hours: Check-in is 7:30 - 8:30 AM on Saturday. Judging will start at 9:00 AM both days. All cats must remain in the show hall during posted show hours each day. Advertised show hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days. Exhibitors may not leave the show hall unless written permission is given by show management.
Benching: By exhibitor. One adult or two kittens are allowed per single cage space. A single cage space measures 22 inches x 22 inches x 21 inches. A double cage space (extra half cage) measures 22 inches x 45 inches x 21 inches. For sale cages are double cages. All cages must be covered on the top, back, and sides. For the cat's comfort, we recommend that you provide a rug as well. All cats and kittens present in the show hall must have an assigned cage. No cats may be confined to carriers, either displayed or under cages, during show hours. Any person disregarding this rule will be asked to leave the show hall.
Household Pets: HHP kittens (4 - 7 months) and HHP adults (8 months and older) may be entered. All adult entries must be spayed or neutered. If you are not sure of the proper class or color of your cat, please send a color photo with your entry and a description of the hair length on the tail, measure if necessary.
