This is the only hotel in Burlington willing to house our cats, so please, please please leave you room as you found it. Otherwise we may have to pitch a tent next year. Seriously,we do not want to lose this facility. Thank you for your cooperation by confining whole males to a cage or the bathroom area.

Airport: Major airlines fly into the Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTIA), including American, Continental, Delta, United, and US Airways. Exhibitors, if you need transportation from the airport to the hotel, please make your reservations to come into PTIA during the afternoon on Friday. Club transportation is very limited and we will need to pick you up when meeting our judges. We regret we will not be able to transport any exhibitors until the show has concluded on Sunday when we are taking judges to the airport. If you have an afternoon flight home, you will have to make your own arrangements to get to the airport. The airport is a good hour from the show hall.

Show Hours: Check-in will be 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM Saturday. Judging will be from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. All cats must remain in the show hall during scheduled show hours, unless permission is obtained from show management. No cat may be left in the show hall overnight.

Kittens: All kittens entered for competition must be at least four (4) but less than eight (8) calendar months old on the day of the show. Household Pet Kittens may be spayed or neutered.

Household Pets: Household pets over eight (8) months MUST be spayed or neutered. Household pets are judged in ten (10) divisions. If you are not sure which color or division your household pet belongs in, please send a color picture of your cat with your entry. Photos will be returned at check-in.

For Sale cats/kittens: All kittens for sale must be at least three (3) months old. Kittens and cats for sale must have health certificates available to verify proof of age and FeLV negative results. For kittens six (6) months old or younger, the dam's certificate may be used to verify FeLV negative results. Sale cats and kittens without appropriate health documentation at check-in will be required to leave the show hall.

Registration: Except for Korats, registration with TICA is not required to compete. To be scored for TICA titles and Regional/International awards, cats, kittens, alter, and household pet adults must be registered. Championship cats, kittens, and alters will be scored once without a registration number. Registration forms can be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551.

Health Requirements: This is a non-vetted show. Cats showing signs of earmites, fleas, fungus, or any illness will not be permitted in the show hall. All entries should be immunized against feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and feline enteritis, and should test negative for feline leukemia and feline aids. Any cat or kitten from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any contagious illness within 21 days before the opening date of the show is ineligible for entry and/or exhibition. Any cat that is obviously pregnant or lactating will be disqualified. All claws (front and back) must be clipped before judging. Declawed cats are eligible for entry.

Cages: Single benching cages are approximately 22"x22"x22". A single cage will be provided for each entry. All cages must be covered on three sides. For your cat's comfort, we recommend that you provide a rug and top cover as well. All cats and kittens present in the show hall must have an assigned cage. No more than two kittens or one adult cat will be allowed per single cage. No kittens or cats may be confined to carriers, either displayed or under cages, during show hours. Any person disregarding this rule will be asked to leave the show hall.

Supplies: Litter will be provided. Please bring your own litter pans, food, and water bowls. Some cat food may be donated. People food will be available for purchase in the show hall on a limited basis.

Anyone wishing to give Breed Awards, In Memory Of, or In Honor Of...Awards should contact Frances Yow [(336) 674-3443] to place your order. No calls after 10:00 PM please.
