Transportation: USAirways flies into Athens and although it is a small plane, you can carry a cat with you in the passenger cabin. (Request seating on the side with 2 seats.) If you fly into Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta, you are 80 miles from Athens. All major airlines serve Atlanta. If you rent a car, it is a divided highway to Athens, allow 2 hours. AAA Airport Express runs a shuttle 7 times each day. You may want to plan a flight based on the shuttle connection. Reservations must be made in advance by calling (800) 354-7874. The cost is $25 each way. The Greenville/Spartenburg, SC Airport is 120 miles. Driving time is about the same. If you rent a car, this airport is served by most airlines and is very user friendly.

Show Hours: Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Judging will begin promptly at 10:00 AM on Saturday and 9:30 AM on Sunday. Advertised show hours will be 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday, 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday. All cats must remain in the show hall during advertised show hours unless permission to leave is given by the Show Management. No cats may be left in the show hall over night.

Show Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By entering exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration information & forms may be obtained from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551.

Registration: Except for Korats, registration with TICA is not required to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and regional/International awards, cats, kittens, alters and household pet adults must be registered. Championship cats, kittens, alters and adult household pets will only be scored once without a registration number.

Health: This is a non-vetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from the show hall, along with any cats owned, housed or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and distemper (panleukopenia) at least two weeks prior to the show, and should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV ("feline AIDS"). Any cat or kitten from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infections or contagious illnesses within 21 days before the opening date of the show is ineligible for entry and/or exhibition. Any cat obviously pregnant or lactating will be disqualified. TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are eligible for entry

Benching: One adult cat or two kittens are allowed per single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to show proof of age). All cats and kittens present in the show hall must have an assigned cage. No kittens or cats may be confined to carriers, either displayed or under cages during show hours. Any person disregarding this rule will be asked to leave the show hall.

Supplies: Cat litter will be available, but please bring your own litter pan! Each entry will be assigned a single cage, approx. 22" X 22" X 22". For the protection and safety of your cat and those around you, please bring suitable covering for sides, top and bottom of the cage.

Clerks: Please contact Robin Higgins if you wish to clerk; then mark on the summary sheet if you are confirmed to clerk. TICA certified clerks will receive a voucher for $30 per day, which may be mailed in with the entry in payment or redeemed for cash at the close of the show.

Vendor Space: There is vendor space available. If you are interested in being a vendor at the show, call Liz Flynn at (706) 860-1521 to reserve a space.
